Olivia holds a Master of Arts in Film Studies from the University of Melbourne and has been recognized with several prestigious awards for her work.

Our History

Sydney Film Academy was established in 2005 by a group of passionate filmmakers and educators who recognized the need for a more practical and industry-focused film school in Sydney. From humble beginnings with just a handful of students and a small studio space, the academy has grown into a leading film and television training institution with a state-of-the-art campus and a diverse student body.

Over the years, Sydney Film Academy has built a strong reputation for producing highly skilled and employable graduates who have gone on to work on numerous successful film and television projects. Our alumni have won awards at prestigious film festivals, worked on major television networks, and established their own successful production companies. Our purpose-built TV studio features multiple camera setups, professional lighting grids, and a soundproofed environment. Students gain hands-on experience producing live and pre-recorded television content.

Advanced Editing Suites

Our editing suites are equipped with industry-standard software, including Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, allowing students to master the art of video editing, colour correction, and visual effects.

Inside our sound stage

Sound Stage

Our sound stage provides a versatile space for filming scenes that require controlled audio and lighting conditions. Students learn the fundamentals of sound recording and boom operation.
